Sometimes a more complicated home can’t be assessed under the “DO IT YOURSELF” Energy Rating option on the BASIX assessment portal. Generally these are homes with larger floor areas (>300m² ), larger 2 storey homes or any homes not using a standard wall cladding system. This is where a NatHERS rating is required.
